Why Rebounding is Better than Jogging

There is no doubt that jogging is a good way to lose weight and to improve cardiovascular health. Not to mention the least expensive. This is the reason why jogging is very popular among many individuals, male or female, young and old. But let’s face it, not everyone is built for jogging or running. There are many people who easily get bored by these activities. There are also those who cannot meet the physical demands of running and jogging either because of old age or disability.

There is a good alternative to jogging though and that is rebounding or the use of a mini trampoline. There are many advantages of rebounding over jogging. One of the most important of which is the fact that rebounding is a gentler form of exercise. Jogging is a high impact type of exercise. Because of this, it can be hard on the joints, especially on theĀ anklesĀ and knees. This is also the reason why jogging is not suitable for older individuals. On the other hand, rebounding is a low-impact type of exercise. This means it is gentler on the body, particularly on the joints.

Both jogging and rebounding are good cardiovascular exercise routines. Rebounding though is more than just a cardio workout. It is actually an activity that employs the whole body, inside and out. Apart from helping tone the muscles of the body, the up and down motion of rebounding can also stimulate the different internal organs of the body.
