It also does not matter what your age is. Even if you are in your 60s or beyond, you can still exercise. There are many exercise programs that are appropriate for elderly individuals.

A good example of a senior-friendly workout is rebounding. This is a kind of exercise that involves the use of a rebounder or a mini trampoline. The needak soft bounce rebounder with a stabilizing bar is a great choice for seniors.

Exercise for the Elderly

Exercise is important no matter what your age is. Regular exercise, along with a healthy diet, can help keep a person in tip top shape and can even prevent diseases. For the elderly, regular exercise promotes longevity.

But let’s face it, most exercise programs out there are geared towards younger individuals. The elderly have special needs. Unlike folks in their 20s, 30s or even 40s, the movements that seniors can perform are quite limited. This does not mean though that they should give up on exercise altogether. There are workout programs that are actually senior-friendly. In this post you will get to know one of the best.

Seniors need a workout program that involves gentle movements. Among the many exercises available out there, very few can match the gentleness of rebounding. This is an exercise that involves the use of a mini trampoline which is also known as a rebounder. Don’t underestimate the simple jumping movement required by this exercise. Rebounding has been proven effective, not only in keeping the body fit but in promoting mental fitness as well. This is why this exercise if perfect for seniors.

Rebounding is not only for the elderly though. Individuals in their teens and above can reap the benefit of rebounding.

Rebounding to Fight Cancer

Rebounding is a simple way to exercise without too much effort yet the benefits of rebounding is outstanding. Rebounding is simply jogging on a mini trampoline. It can be done in the house or outside of the house. It can be done in front of the television or you can rebound to music. Either of these choices helps the time to go along faster. For optimal physical benefits rebounding should be done approximately four to five times a week for 30 minutes. This can be accomplished quite easily.

Rebounding can help to fight cancer, as it is a great way to cleanse the lymphatic system. Because your lymph vessels are running throughout the body the movements in rebounding are constantly working on the vessels. As it cleanses the lymphatic system it also removes the waste from the cells. The jumping up and down motions in rebounding help to move everything along and out.

The most efficient form of rebounding to flush the cells against cancer is the health bounce, which is even more simple. The health bounce requires that you have both feet on the mini trampoline and just do a mild, steady bounce for a few minutes. This movement will flush the lymphatic system, as well as increase the white blood cell count. This should be done several times each day to achieve the maximum effect against the cancer cells.

Grab your mini trampoline and bounce for your health. This form of exercising could not be easier nor more effective.

Does Exercising on a Rebounder Increase Bone Density?

Many people use mini trampolines because they are fun and the feeling of jumping and bouncing feels good to the entire body, but what may surprise you is the many benefits the rebounder exercises can bring. One of the benefits is the increase in bone density.

Astronauts use rebounder exercise, which helps to strengthen their bone density. NASA has found over the years that the exercise a mini trampoline can provide is better than walking, running, or treadmills. NASA uses the rebounder exercise during training and found it helps with increasing bone density. When astronauts go into space, the weightlessness their bodies experience can cause reduction in bone mass and rebounding helps to rebuild that loss.

Obviously, rebounding does indeed rebuild bone mass, which makes it an extremely useful to use because as people age, they lose bone mass and density. Rebounding is a low-impact and super fun way to increase your bone and muscle mass. The mini trampoline does not take up alot of space in your home, and it is the best aerobic workout you can give your body.

Lastly, the next time you bounce on your mini trampoline, remember, you are building bone mass and working out several muscle groups at the same time.

Rebounder Review – Which rebounder is best for me?

What is the best rebounder? I get this question a lot and it depends on what your specific needs are. First off I want to say that we only carry top quality rebounders here at irebounder.com every one of them has been thoroughly tested and we stand behind their quality. That said different rebounders are better for different things. Below is a list of some of the things that may be important to you along with which rebounder best fits each requirement.

Softness of bounce

If having a really soft bounce is your number one priority then Bellicon is the way to go. The Bellicon rebounder is currently the softest rebounder on the market. If you want a really soft bounce but the price tag on the Bellicon rebounder is too much then the Needak rebounder is the next softest on the market, followed very closely by the Reboundair.

Durability

If ruggedness and durability is your priority than the Needak rebounder is your choice, the Needak rebounder is 100% made in the USA and it is extremely durable. I personally own one of these rebounders and have had it for over 6 years now, maintenance free. Although the reboundAIR rebounder does not seem to be quite as durable as the Needak it comes with a lifetime warranty on all of its parts making it a good second choice. The Bellicon bungee based rebounder is extremely well built but requires the most maintenance of the models we carry. If used on a regular basis the bungee bands will more than likely need to be replaced every two years or so. A set of bands costs $80 dollars.

Sound

This one is easy of all the rebounders on the market the Bellicon bungee based rebounders and hands down the most quiet. Because they use bungee bands rather than springs they make virtually no sound at all.

Feel free to call anytime and I will be happy to answer any questions you have about the rebounders. We carry.

Happy rebounding!
