Many don’t realize what a vital role the lymphatic system plays when it comes to fighting off infection and disease. Lymph bathes every cell in the body, providing essential nutrients and caring away waste. However unlike the cardiovascular system, lymph has no central pump but rather relies on a system of one way valves and physical movement to facilitate circulation.

Without adequate physical movement cells are left to stew in their own waste and starve for nutrients. This situation can contribute to many forms of disease such as arthritis, cancer and various degenerative diseases as well as speed up the aging process. Dynamic exercise like jumping on a rebounder or mini trampoline can increase the flow of lymph by as much a 30 times!

Similar to the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system is connected to every organ in the body. One of its primary functions is to act as a sort of garbage collector for the cells. When functioning properly cellular waist and toxins are sucked up and transported away by the lymph for elimination. With lack of exercise this process becomes sluggish and elimination of toxins becomes less efficient.

The lymphatic system has millions of one way valves which allow lymph to flown only in one direction. Any form of exercise will stimulate the movement of lymph to some degree but jumping on a rebounder with its rhythmic bouncing up and down causes all of the one way valves to open and close increasing the flow of lymph by as much as 30 times. Rebounding is one of the most efficient forms of exercise for cleansing the lymphatic system.
